The solution will leverage SPIRIT’s 5G testbeds to achieve low latency in camera data feeds. Our objective is to reduce installation errors, improve safety, and set new standards for immersive technical training.
We were drawn to SPIRIT’s unique combination of 5G testbed infrastructure, network-aware orchestration, and security-focused platform components. Our application heavily depends on ultra-low latency and secure data handling, which SPIRIT uniquely enables. Additionally, the opportunity to contribute open-source components and validate our solution in a European testbed with real-world complexity aligned perfectly with our goals for scalability and interoperability.
By validating this system on SPIRIT’s testbeds, we’re proving the viability of immersive, 5G-enabled training tools for electrical installation sectors. We also plan to open-source core components, enabling other industries (e.g., solar, HVAC, smart meters) to adapt the platform for technical field training, creating a broader impact on workforce of electrical installation companies beyond the vertical of EV Charging infrastructure.
