We are pleased to share the live demonstration of RAPSEB, our subgrant project under ARISE, the Horizon Europe initiative advancing industrial human-robot interaction.
RAPSEB delivers an autonomous robotic workcell that applies epoxy binder to biocomposite panels, replacing a manual and hazardous step in PHEE’s production line with a safer and more consistent process. Distancing human workers from the spraying loop directly reduces health risk on the shop floor.
The system was developed by Parity Platform in collaboration with PHEE, and is built on open-source modules from the ARISE middleware. We also extend our thanks to the Robotics Lab of the University of Patras, which provided an Elephant Robotics myCobot 320 M5 arm that allowed us to validate the portability of our ROS 2 stack, originally developed for Universal Robots, across a second manipulator.
